Kill Tidy Towns

The National Tidy Towns adjudicators have begun their work visiting towns and villages throughout Ireland to award and reward local communities for the work they have carried out over the last 12 months. The Tidy Towns competition is not just about colourful flower boxes and more about biodiversity which includes plants, hedgerows and grasses that sustain the ecosystem upon which life depends.
So far in 2019, Kill Tidy Towns has planted 30 Hollies, 25 Hazel, 25 Hawthorn, 8 Silver Birch, 8 Rowan and 5 Maples in the Dara Way as well as 60 Beech for hedging, 50 Ferns and 400 Spring Bulbs in the Rowan Walk. 200 new Heathers were also planted near the Bottle Bank.
Thanks to everyone for supporting Kill Tidy Towns. Please keep Kill tidy and a beautiful place in which to live.
